The eyes see everything

my entry for this week's Wednesday Stamper is "the eyes see everything", and it is a belated tri-fold card for a friend who's birthday was last week.

I used my Keepsake Card Craft score board to create a tri-fold, and then cut along a diagonal line over two of the folds, and folded in the opposite direction on two of the folds.

The covered the longest panel with the watercolour pattern, the second panel was covered with the hearts, and the third with the watercolour pattern again. Next I inked up my Oasis French Manuscript stamp with Timber Brown StazOn, and stamped on plain copier paper. I then sponged on Peeled Paint and Tattered Rose Distress Inks with cut'n'dry foam and torn, and added to opposing sides of the second and third panels. Actually, first I had added ribbon to the sides, but this just didn't do anything for me, so I took it off and added the Manuscript paper - remember, a mistake should just be looked on as a creative opportunity!

Stamped the eye (in Peeled Paint) and the face (in Tattered Rose) on the longest panel.
I prepared a plate of pale green cardstick with one of my favourite Non-Seq stamps (the lady with the tear), coloured with my new metallic penciles, and added glossy accents to the jewels, tear and lips. Added the French Manuscript around the edges, and matted onto gold cardstock.
Placing this plate so that it overlapped onto the first panel.

"the eyes see everything" from Paper Artsy Femme Plate 2 was stamped, scanned, re-sized and printed out on to plain copier paper - then coloured with the Peeled Paint and Tattered Rose Distress Inks. After tearing out the words (except for "everything") I added a tiny amount of Versamark around the edges and Galactic Gold EP and heat set. This was added to the first panel. "everything" was coloured with the Distress Inks, and just aligned on the second panel with the wording on the first one.

Peeled Paint Distress Ink was just then run around the edges of the card.

Mother's Day Card (No. 2)

Really quick card (under 10 minutes). Ready made card blank stamped with Hero Arts Wavy Graphic Border stamps in Vilolet Versacolour and Wisteria Fluid Chalk ink.Stamped onto left over glossy cardstock which had been DTP'd with black Stazon and then heat embossed several layers of clear EP to create the tiny tile (Blue Cardigan Mother's Day Sheet), cut out and added to card blank.
Tied green organza ribbon round spine.

Life is beautiful

and so is my darling Mother.........really super quick Mother's Day card for her.
Central Lily image is by Blue Cardigan (Mothers Day Sheet) stamped on cream card in Black Stazon, then several coats of clear EP over the top. Matted on to an Ecoline (580 & 416) background, and then onto blue vellum and tied round a piece of cream ric rak.
"Life is Beautiful" quote is by Magenta, and this was stamped in versamark on to the same cream cardstock and embossed with Galactic Gold EP. I then coloured it with Majestic Blue (652) H20, cut out and then edged with Violet Versacolour ink.
The card blank was stamped with Savvy Dahlia (449c) in a mixture of Violet Versacolour and Azurite chalk ink.

Faberge Inspired Card

Covered a card blank with Provocraft "Illuminations" paper, which I inked around the edges with Dusty Concord Distress Ink.
Painted the three chipboard flowers with Jo Sonja's paint, and then stamped with French Manuscript (Oasis) and Vine Background (Savvy), covered with Versamark and Kalidescope Embossing Power (3 times). Added jewels to the centre of the flowers, and also white glass beads on the two green ones and added to the card.
Two holes were made on spine of card with BG Notch & Die, and the green/silver organza ribbon tied in a bow.
Actually somebody remarked that it had probably taken ages to do, but in reality it is a very quick and simple make, all in all about 15 minutes.

More Brooches

Three more brooches I have finished today, not on bazzill but on 2mm wood shapes !

White

This is my entry for this week's Wednesday Stamper. The theme is 'white' and I must admit that this was a real challenge for me being the colour crazed person that I am! The alphabet is a Green Pepper Press one. It's the first time I used it and I LOVE it!

stamping on to tissue

I had tried the tissue stamping before without success because I used the wrong ink. This time I was really pleased with the results, especially the butterflies (Clarity Stamps) I painted a bazzil tag with cream acrlic paint, then stamped the butterflies on to tissue using green stazon, then coloured them using my new aquaflow pens for the first time. WOW what vibrant colours! I covered the tag with several coats of PVA watered down, and edged the tag in brown chalk ink. I decided it needed toning down a little, so went over the cream paint with a brown chalk ink pad that had nearly run out. It gives it a gorgeous distressed look.

Here is my brooch. Sorry about the quality of the photo! I used a tanda stamps retro woman stamp, and some HOTP script paper. Then I used a small flower and gold embossed it. I tried and failed with the beads! It did have 3 sets of beads, but 2 fell off!

Altered Mint Tin

Here is my altered mint tin, inside and out! I loved doing this, and the tissue stamping technique went really well with this stamp (it's from a grab bag off eBay!) I used my ancient watercolour crayons for the first time in years! I'm not too happy about the bottom inside - I poured the glossy accents in with a far too heavy hand! It's really thick and took days to dry! It looks even worse in the photo becasue of the glare. One thing I would do differently is not paint right up to the top of the sides, my tin does not shut now!
Here is the inside of my Lippy Chick book. I used Blonde Moments papers, and created a book about my daughter's ballet! Lots of pink and purple ribbon, banana frog stamps, pink blossoms, and pink flower punch-outs.

I finally got round to posting a piccie of my Altered Mint Tin! Unfortunately I have not managed to decorate the inside yet, but the outside is done! I included the tissue paper technique on the top and it seems to have worked quite well. The stamps were from Paper Artsy, the paints were from Ranger and I used a combo of Staz-On, Marvy dye pens and Watercolour pencils to colour the images in.

Yes, it really is that bright in real life! You need your sunglasses! :o)

Hangover Challenge

OK, so I've cheated, I did do this for Wednesday Stamper, but had fun doing it so it was relaxing. I did get to use a stamp I have not used before - the lady in the hat. I've had her for ages but have never got round to using it!
Here is my first go at the mirror class.
I really enjoyed it and have 2 more to do some time!
