Recipe Tag week 11
I wasn't planning on using another Fornasetti image this week but the 'square' sold it to me. The image is by Hampton Arts, text by Paper Artsy. The BG is Impress inks with a CB folder.

Recipe tag Week 7
Still catching up...
I do love the stamp, it is so 'complete' that very little needs to be done to finish a piece, and here is no exception. The background is sponged with distress inks (the old ones, I have not bought any of the new ones yet!) and I have gone over the text with a Sakura glitter pen. The brad is a Papermania do-it-yourself with music from a Visible Image background stamp. I tried the plastic domes on top of the brad but the Versafine ink started bleeding into the adhesive; the plastic dome peeled off very easily though and Diamond Glaze did the trick.
Week 8 - Black, Metal and Arrows
Well, it seems like ages since I posted anything, and we have so many new members, and to save lots of posts ..... can I just say welcome to you all.
I think, that it is Week 8, but could be wrong, any hoo the challenge was:
I think, that it is Week 8, but could be wrong, any hoo the challenge was:
- Black
- Metal
- Arrows
and this is what I came up, not the best quality video showing it, but I will be back later with a video of making the whole thing.
Sorry about the quality I was trying to be super quiet as the kids were asleep, and had only just woken up.....

Weeks 7 and 8
Well these have come out the wrong way round but Week 7 is a cider can, heated over the gas flame then embossed. Added a stamped bird, grungeboard swirls and crown.
Top tag is Week 8, painted silver and a "metal" eyelet in the "black" wheel with a stamped and a grungeboard "arrow"! There, all caught up!

week 8
Week 7 Tag
For this tag, I brayered black soot distress ink onto my tag, and stamped a PaperArtsy Mini script to create a background. I stamped & embossed a Green Pepper Press image up the left-hand side, with Cosmic Shimmer malachite fire utee. A bit of black lace & a faux metal strip at the bottom, and the Crafty Individuals birds were stamped on a Stazon background. Finally I added a couple of alcohol inked Maya Road metal flowers with pink paper flowers & purple brads.
Recipe Tag challenge - week 6
I have been going great guns recently and made this tag last night very quickly - then spent forever taking photos indoors with and without flash, and outdoors in the sun and in the shade...
I am still totally undecided as to which best shows the tag so I will show 2 pictures, and beg for help on how to take pictures of pearlescent items to show both the shimmer and the detail underneath.
I made the background by spraying Cosmic shimmer: first lime green, then turquoise blue on a Heidi Swapp tree branch mask. The birds is by Prima and the earth image is by Chapel Road. I just had to add glitter to the bird's crown. Distress stickles were not sparkly enough but Platinum stickles did the trick. To add a bit of texture I stamped a See-D background stamp with Versamagic ink on the right hand side.
The heart uses rock candy Distress crackle paint on top of maroon Cat's eye chalk pad, and dark brown chalk ink on the sides and cracks to age it.

Rolling recipe tag - week 5
I am still trying to catch up! This is inspired by this year's Valentine card to my husband and uses a Stampington heart on metallic card and a Maya Road chipboard key painted with Viva ferro paint - I love the rusty effect that the 'iron' paint gives.
I wanted to make a sprayed background so I took my cardboard spraying box out, and stared at the newspaper which was lining the box: the colour was exactly what I wanted so that's what I used!
Lousy picture though, I should get more organised and take my photos while there is still natural light...

Rolling recipe tags 6 and 7
Well I've caught up!
The flying cranes stamp is a Japanese make - sorry I can't read Japanese script so can't tell you any more! The little heart was home-made by punching a heart from fun foam.
The plum blossom or cherry blossom (not sure which) is a Sunday International stamp, and the fan charm is metal.
Tag challenge - week 4
How long do you reckon it will take me to catch up with all the lovely submissions and my own tags? Please bear with me while I give it a go...
Here is my offering for week 4: floral stamp (Inkadinkado clear stamp set), text (Chapel Road - love that quote) and red gel pen. The background is paper which came around some stuff I bought from the US, far too nice to bin :o). I sprayed it with Ranger Ink refresher before scrunching it and distressing it with Old Linen Distress ink; the edges are inked with Mahogany. The flowers are coloured with my Sakura Jelly rolls which I bought years ago and still use loads - great value for money when you think how little each of them costs. I glued the paper to my tag using ulta-sticky stix-2 tape as I reckon the Ink refresher does not like being glued and finished it off with German scrap corners from Paper Artsy and a few fibres.
