Not finished, and not really a good photo! The tag on the right has lots of dots of Stickles, the one on the left uses silver paint. These will make great bases for something, but I did want to show the work in progress as the new challenge will be up today!

This isn't the best photo in the world, but this is my only chance of showing my entry for this week's challenge in time! I will put some better images on my blog tomorrow night. I had great fun making these. Sometimes it's fun just to make something 'because'!

I decided to alter a ready-made 'D' as I thought it would be easier. Ho ho ho! Of course I decided to complicate things by making it into a functional picture frame :) Thanks for the challenge.

UK Stampers Sunday Challenge no. 4

Finally I have finished my entry this week! I didn't have a 'congratulations' stamp, so have used the 'Mon amie' instead. Stamps from Crafty Individuals and SU. Challenging challenge LOL!

Sunday Challenge number 3

Well, I struggled too with this challenge, as I didn't have any sporty stamps, either! I suppose that is what makes it challenging lol. I ended up using a ball stamp from a baby set, and stamped it onto paper I had covered with Perfect Pearls in gold, bronze and (sort-of!) silver, before cutting out. I was inspired by the lovely medals Team GB are bringing home, so went all patriotic with my background. I know the phrase is a bit American, but aren't the Olympics international?!

Sunday Challenge number 2

These took a little longer than I planned, as I got sidetracked along the way, and started to make an origami box. The tags both use handstamped paper, using stamps from Non Sequitur and Judikins. I prefer the B and W one, DH loves the red- what do you think?

July altered art swap- matchbox shrines

Well, I know it's nearly the end of August, but the start of the school holidays can delay things a little. We made it, anyway, and I promise that this swap was worth waiting for! Thanks to everyone who took part, and for anyone who wants to join the next swap, I will be posting it near the end of the month. Otherwise, just sit back and enjoy the show!

Weekly Challenge, oldest and newest!

It was easy to remember what my oldest and newest stamps were- one hadn't been used since 1998, the year I bought it, and the other has not left my desk since I bought it a couple of weeks ago! The top picture shows my latest stamps (along with a few other favourites), which are the flowers- a new Inkadinkado clear set of scribble flowers- very usable. The bottom photo is my oldest stamp, a Personal Impressions snowflake. It used to have a bow, but when I unmounted it from the wood last year I cut it off! Having used it again, I can see why I bought it. I may even use it to do this year's Christmas cards!
