Week 8 - Black, Metal and Arrows

Well, it seems like ages since I posted anything, and we have so many new members, and to save lots of posts ..... can I just say welcome to you all.

I think, that it is Week 8, but could be wrong, any hoo the challenge was:

  • Black
  • Metal
  • Arrows

and this is what I came up, not the best quality video showing it, but I will be back later with a video of making the whole thing.

Sorry about the quality I was trying to be super quiet as the kids were asleep, and had only just woken up.....

Week 3 rolling recipe challenge

a stamps happen image of Magnolia, text is computer generated, there are 3 tiny burgundy buttons and one square tan button

Week2 rolling recipe challenge

this uses one stamp (6buttons on stamp), I attached the ones on acetate with thread as the glitter on the back made them difficult to glue on.

August Craft Stamper Challenge entry

This is something I have never done before; make a charm bracelet. In August Craft Stamper there was a free stamp of this rather cute strawberry and one of the things they had done with it was a charm bracelet using shrink plastic. Well I made a few strawberries and scrabbled about for a few beads that "went" and tried to make a start. But it wasn't going well and I got a bit disheartened. About a week ago I took a trip over to The Glitterpot and noticed that a bead shop has opened up there called Giraffe Gems. Wow, it was like being in a sweetie shop! I bought some headed pins and a few more beads and this length of chain that can be cut to the right length. Now this was great, as despite the rest of me being rather large, my wrists are small and bracelets always slide off! So on Friday night this was what I made. I have added 2 more strawberries on the empty links but I wasn't about to do them then as by the time I had finished it was nearly 1am!

August Craft Stamper Challenge Entries

Here are three entries from Lulabelle (Lynn) in response to the Challenge related to the August Issue of Craft Stamper Magazine set by Kym on 10th July.
The first one is inspired by 'Down at the Waters Edge' on Page 24 of the Mag.

The next two are inspired by Isabelle Norris's Technique No 2.

Very nice they are too !!!

I challenge you

I've loved the new look for Craft Stamper, and I know quite of few of you have copies. So I thought I'd base it around the new August Issue.

To get up back in the swing this one is simple, and far ranging. All you have to do is select something from the issue, and lift it (or just use it as inspiration).

Please post a link in the comments of this challenge on the Cyber Blog (including a note of what page in the mag inspired you), and I will choose at random a couple of people to receive some of the lovely new Dropz (which are teeny tiny zoomz) and some ribbon.

25 points up for grabs for your Use Your Stash too.

Sugar Nellie Challenge #3 - The colour orange

Nice easy one this week - it's anything with a Sugar Nellie stamp and using the colour orange somewhere on the project.

Hopefully, this is broad enough for quite a few people to play.

Sorry about how dark and horrid my image looks - typical, I left it 'til it got dark to take a photo. Honestly, it looks wayyyy better in real life.

50 points for use your stash, and also some Zoomz for the winner.

Just upload as a Member or send paste a link to the project.

Closes next Sunday.

Sugar Nellie - Challenge #1

So many of us now have a growing collection of the wonderful Sugar Nellie stamps, that we thought it would be fun to post regular challenges featuring the stamps.

All you need to do is post a link, showcasing a project using at least 1 Sugar Nellie Stamp (from any of their ranges). If you haven't got a blog, email us with a jpeg image, and we will upload it for you.

This challenge is open to anybody, not just Members of UK Stampers'. Don't forget if you are a Member to include your label if you upload to the blog. If you're not a Member, why not....we would love to welcome you to our forum.

So this is the first one: CHECK IT OUT!

We want to see something that features checks in any size or colour.

Challenge closes on Sunday, 3rd February 2007, when we will pick our favourite entry, and send them some Zoomz as a prize.

Autumn Colours Collage

This is my submission for the Autumn Challenge. This year I think the colours on our trees in Britain have been especially astounding...........it's to do with our weather this Summer, lots of sugars in the leaves making them extra colourful. This has inspired me to do this piece with a very Autumn colourway.

Autumn Stampscapes by Rainbow Lady

This is the fabbie entry by Rainbow Lady for the Autumnal Challenge.

What a great entry. I love that scene.
