Surf's Up!

I've been thinking about this one all week with no joy. Finally came up with something.

Sunday ChallengeNo. 24

The star of the photo is Coca cola the Koala and the Australian red wine Shiraz, the background, small bunch of grapes over the edge of the photo and also on the label of the wine bottle (covering 'selected by Tescos') are stamped using aspects of design 6 Nature stamps.

New Header Contest!

We love our header, which was designed by Flo in Feb of 2007, but it has been brought to the mods' attention that it might be time to wave bye-bye to the old one and

DESIGN A NEW HEADER!

The forum is soon to be 3 years old, and to celebrate we are inviting all members to join in with the contest for the new header. The winner will be chosen by forum members and will receive not only the joy of seeing their artwork every time they come onto the forum, but also a prize which will be donated by Stamp Galaxy.

So here are the rules:

1. Design your header using any colour or media you like, incorporating some stamping, of course! (Please bear in mind that the forum colour of blue/grey cannot be changed)
2. Make sure your header is no bigger than 21cm wide x 5cm deep
3. Upload a photograph of your work to the Cyberblog using the label 'New Header Contest'. Don't add your name label- we want a surprise when the winner is announced!

The closing date for the contest is SATURDAY 21st February

The poll will be set up on Sunday 22nd Feb, and will close on Saturday 28th Feb.

The winner will be announced on SUNDAY 1st MARCH, and will be asked to send a best-quality photo of their work to our email address (ukstampers@aol.com) so that it can be added to the site.

GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL!

Sunday challenge No. 23

I struggled a bit with this theme, my stars are 'spangled' but the photo doesn't show the glitter well.

Sunday challenge No 21

I chose fashion (in a loose sense) as the theme, the stitching stamp being the same, because stitching is used in any generation. The tags are vellum and the colours look much better irl. The stamps are all See Ds, Vintage and Accessories:

I tried to do two identical tags but one to look old and battered and one to look pristine. The old one looks more like it has gone through a washing machine though.
