Rolling Recipe Tag Challenge - week 20
The background is either Nick Bantock or the new DIs, can't remember as I made it a while ago! I stamped the two big PaperArtsy trees last week, when I was making week 18's tag, then gave up! So, today, I added the little Crafty Individuals trees, the Craft Stamper cat, which I triple embossed, plus the phrase across the top. Then I took the little tag, which came with the keys to our new car, and the reg no. on the back! I coloured it direct with barn door DI, stamped the words, and triple embossed it, then attached it with some black ribbon.

Recipe tag challenge - week 19
I was looking for a way to add texture and embossing and remembered my Antiquities inkpads and powders, which give a lovely texture effect with no shine whatsoever. unfortunately the texture does not really come out in the photo so you'll have to take my word for it!
House and background by Paper Artsy, trees by Elusive Images (I think) and sun from a silicone mould taken from an old button.

'A Charming Exchange' revisited
Totally inspired by the book 'A Charming Exchange' by Snelling and Rae, I decided to host my own swap and i can now reveal the fruits of everyones labour.
I had 14 charming swappees including myself making a fantastic array of charms in all shapes and sizes.I then created a bracelet {or in some cases a keyring} for them all to go on and hand made boxes to present them in
I would just like to say a very big thanks to each and every one of you for making this a most enjoyable swap.. and i hope you all decide to partake in simular ones i have planned in the near future.. watch the forum for details...

Recipe tag week 18
I can't believe I'm first this week!
The tree is by Elusive images, and in the background of the Paper Artsy stamp you can see a pagoda which is a kind of house-ish... The stamped text (Paper Artsy) is sort of stripy.
The background is a mixture of Japanese origami paper and joss paper, and the whole merrily mixes Chinese and Japanese influence.

Recipe tag: week 16
The flowers are from an Elusive Images set, stamped on acetate and coloured with Brilliance inks. The butterflies are from a Stampington Clearly Impressed set and the background swirls are from Visible Image and stamped in Brilliance Lightning black.
A few learnings from making this tag:
- if you are going to heat-set ink on acetate, check that your acetate is heat-resistant otherwise it will curl. Mind you, that gives a nice 3-D dimension to your flowers.
- if you are going to use solvent-based glue (like Bostik multi-purpose and I expect Uhu) on acetate, check that it does not dissolve the acetate first. Mind you, that does add to the nice 3-D dimension too.
- a dab of stickles can hide a multitude of sins
You have been warned :0)

Recipe Tag Challenge
The stripes are pieces from Amtico floor samples (no point having a friend with a flooring shop if you can't raid the samples every now & then) which have been stamped with Hero Arts' Florentine Scroll. The butterflies are from the Artistic Stamper designed by the lovely Hels on acetate with AI & tissue paper. They are only attached by their bodies so are very 3D but have been squashed by my scanner. The BG paper is K&Co with white pen highlights.

Tag 16
I've finally managed to complete one of these! Stripes - stripy paper overlaying the tag, this is held on just by the eyelet so it can be swung sideways to show more of the stamping and butterfly underneath. Stamped butterfly... don't know the make, sorry, and acetate - the butterfly has been stamped on acetate and cut out, covered with coloured 'gold leaf' foil on the back then heated with a heat gun to make the wings curl up. The washer at the top is acetate too and foiled wih the scraps which came off the butterfly.

Recipe tag week 14
After a bit of a false start, here is my offering for week 14.
I thought I would try out my new Cottage Cutz die, and here we are! The bird and birdhouse are stamped with Sizzix background stamps using Impress inks, and the alphabet stamps are from Craftycat.
The stripes are everywhere - in the background, the leaves and even the bird's wing.
The whole thing is glued with gel medium, and I remembered why you should use a solvent ink if you intend to slop water-based glue all over your stamped creations...
